Spousal open work Permit

LMIA based work Permit

Employers in Canada can fill labour shortages by employing foreign workers. An employer will need a positive or neutral Labour Market Impact Assessment from Employment and Social Development Canada [ESDC]. This document verifies that a Canadian worker could not fill the job offered to a foreign national.

Two Step Process

A foreign worker and employer must go through a two-step process thoroughly to get a work permit in Canada.

Firstly, employer must submit an application to ESDC for labor market impact assessment.
It is followed by a second application to Immigration Refugee Citizenship Canada [ IRCC] to get an actual work permit.

LMIA exempt work Permit
